After stasis or mortis and before ressurection and restoration of mind Vampires needed to be fed less blood as would be necessary to prevent their primal states from ripping themselves and each other apart. Therefore a ration of blood is given to those whom have just arrived from stasis. Until they have been restored from the inferno.

Over time those vampires that are not restored evolve into primal beings devoid of their full mental facultys and yet noetheless voracious and capricious in their methods to hunt and kill their prey. Prey that would ordinarily be farmed by those with the faculty's to do so.
