Other Beings Part 1

Evolution happened differently. I mean from the cave he was merely observing what had already happened millinea ago when this species had grown up and left its own world leaving behind a record - a tablau razza. Something of pure energy that absorbed you into their time into their evolutionary history.
These being's mysterious to him in everyway wanted nothing in return except to know and learn about this unwarey visitor. Were these beings long since dead? Ghosts on a dead empty planet. And there he was buried beneath the surface only his car and this ancient stone relic for company. The more he touched its surface the stronger became the link to its race and to its past.
He'd entered a temporal warp on the way to his Friday fashion shoot - one of many laid on for Middle executives in order to drum up interest from one of many cellibrity status space tourists. Was it Milli Vanogue or Hot Torspin or Hatty Greenfield who would sign him up for space cruise around the nebulae. He was supposed to be posing infront of his giant pan galactic space cruiser - drumming up more custom when he'd stopped to pick up Charlotte - a Teeny Tweeny on her way into town and looking for another sugar daddy. When they met their eyes shone with delight. Malcom was fond of young women. But this had meant he was going to be late for the shoot. Several Millinea late.
Malcome stroked the tablet and wishing he was somewhere else he began to summon the ancient past of a long gone race of space engineers.
Theyd began life simply - living off the remnants of a planet covered in simple celled plants and bacteria. Theyd evolved not from the sea over time but suddenly from the desire to colonise others. To jump from one bacterial region to another. To do this they grew wings and like our insects they became big before they became small. After millinea of optimizing their own colonies comprised of millions these hives then became intelligent. And with intelligence came the desire to know more. After all it cant be that much fun living in the same old ways - foraging for food when it was scarse, living to the dictates of an inhospotable world, absorbing eating or colonizing other hives. The hive wanted independance of being to match its newly discovered independance of thought.
And thought was crucial thought would be the one thing that would guide it into the realm of physical sciences. Thought and not language as it had been with ourselves. Experimentation with the products of its own basic survival mechnism. Turning the inorganic into organic fuel and then converting fuel into thought. Before long it had realised that it could miss out a step and create thought alone without digestion and fuel.
He dropped the Tweeny at the nearest McDonalds and turned around to find his way onto the freeway when it happened. Himself the car and everything around him which included a section of the underpass rematerialised several hundred meters beneath the surface of Kionus twelve one hundred million parsecs on the other side of the known universe in a planetary system not unlike our own but inwhich Kionus had been two hudnred kilometers closer to its sun making its surface gradually unsuitable for life. He was lucky that he'd been transported to a portion of a makeshift survival shelter errected by the former custodians of this planet who had now long since left in search of a lush blue oceanic world that theyre enquiring minds had learnt about whilst surfing the telepathic eather emanating from our own corner of the universe.
